Presentation techniques
• Opening
• Timing
• Engagement

Opening
How you initialize the presentation is crucial for first impressions. By providing a clear and confident introduction to the subject, you start with a strong presence and control over the situation.
Things to keep in mind:
• Who you are.
• The topic of discussion.
• Overview of the presentation.

Timing
The exact timing of the presentation varies from person to person. Some interviewers expect precise timing down to the second, while others may allow a minute or two extra.
However, you should always ensure you don’t appear to run out of time, subsequently having to rush through or even skip over slides or topic.

Engagement
Depending on the type of presentation given, the levels of engagement with the audience will vary. However it is always good practice to keep some level of interaction with the audience, to ensure that they are still awake and absorbing the information.
This also provides an opportunity to test the audiences understanding of the topics covered during the presentation.
